Finally, It’s…

I’m not one for traditions and to be quite honest even basic routines make roll my eyes a bit – but one thing I’ve always been fond of is Sunday brunch.

My husband and I used to go to brunch in New York on almost a weekly basis (though

sometimes it was just me and a girlfriend).  I’ve been to Mexican brunches, Korean brunches and Thai brunches.  Nothing beats home made brunch – and it doesn’t even have to have fancy seafood appetizers or mimosas.

We toted our little one to the Sunday farmer’s market today.  Readied with hot tea, reusable grocery bags and jackets we shook the cold and browsed the market that sat under the shade of the freeway searching for our favorite pistachios, kale, sugar dates, black eyed peas and other local treats.

ImageWhen we got back I made cheesy scrambled eggs with chopped onion and kale and put them inside of some uber fresh sonora style green chili corn tortillas (sooooo yummy).  It was a brunch that made us both sing a choras of “mmmmm” and our baby boy looked eager for his first taste of Sunday brunch.

Enjoy your Sundays!

While looking for some new Avent bottles for O on Amazon I came across a company called Mimijumi.  They’re a Nashville, TN based company who make natural baby products.  Their feature product is the Hungry Baby Bottle (Not So Hungry – 4 fl oz, Very Hungry – 8 fl oz).  These bottles are not only eye catching but the design is so much like an actual breast it basically looks like the real thing.  It allows proper air flow and an ergonomic design that breastfeeding mommies will absolutely love.  And if he’s anything like my husband….Daddy will get a kick out of em too.
